About the Salon
WATER-LOU Hair Salon is situated in Waterloo Yard of Southwell, Nottinghamshire.
The salon is owned by Louise Stocks, who has over 30 years’ experience in the hairdressing industry. Louise previously opened her salon in June 1995 under the name of TANGLES. After many years of working in Southwell as a hair stylist, Louise has returned to her original salon in Waterloo Yard under the new name of WATER-LOU.
The salon provides a comfortable and stylish experience where you can enjoy a personal service, with just one client at a time. The salon is easily accessible with it being located on the ground floor.
Amanda - Hairstylist
Hairstylist Amanda has been hairdressing for nearly 30 years. Amanda trained at Clarendon college and went on to work in salons in Nottingham and Newark. Following that she has spent the last 15 years working locally in Southwell and recently joined the team at Water-Lou Salon in 2022. Amanda is always looking to welcome new clients.

Lydia - Hairstylist
Lydia is a fully qualified hairdresser with 6 years experience working in a salon. She has a real passion for colouring and creating beautiful blended balayages. Lydia trained at Newark college where she was introduced to Wella products which she has continued to use. After qualifying Lydia began working in her village hair salon. With 6 years experience she is now ready to take the next step at Water-lou salon.

At WATER-LOU salon we use colouring and styling products of the highest quality, including well known brands, Elgon.
With over 50 years of experience in professional hair colour, Elgon promotes high-quality hair colour, care, and style. At Water-Lou we use Elgon colouring products that contain Silker Complex 3®, a complex of silk proteins obtained from silk fibres and synthetic polymers. This forms a protective film on the scalp and a hydrophobic barrier on the hair shaft that protects the colour from fading due to washing and provides shine.
Elgon Tonalight offers a rich and creamy texture,
enriched with Biotech Olive Complex that contains olive tree leaf extract obtained through biotechnology and a colour enhancing polymer.
